Full Line of Prescription Foods

Certain conditions can be treated or managed with prescription diets. We carry products from Royal Canin Veterinary Exclusive Diets, Hills Veterinary Diets and Purina Veterinary Diets. Extensive research is used to formulate each therapeutic diet to ensure that your companion receives the most effective and nutritious diet to address a variety of conditions, such as bladder health, diabetes, obesity, renal failure and gastrointestinal issues. In addition, all of these foods have a palatability guarantee. If your pet won’t eat their prescription diet, simply return it along with the original packaging to our office and we will apply a credit equal to the purchase price onto your account.

Surgery

Our doctors perform a variety of surgeries, which range from routine procedures such as spaying and neutering to removal of tumors, spleens, bladder stones and polyps. If necessary, we can perform exploratory surgery and foreign body removal. We also can repair and treat wounds and ear hematomas. A pre-surgical exam allows us to evaluate your pet’s surgical needs and prepare an estimate.

Companion Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is beneficial for many conditions; including, but not limited to

  • Joint pain from arthritis or injury
  • Painful ear infections and inflammation
  • Chronic anal gland inflammation
  • Hot spots and skin inflammation
  • Wound and injury healing

Via photons (little “packets of light energy”) that are sent deep into cellular tissue, laser therapy stimulates cell regeneration, blood supply and endorphin release which in turn helps to speed healing, and reduce pain and inflammation. Laser light is delivered through a non-invasive hand piece to target and treat the affected area. Laser therapy is not painful; actually, your pet will feel gentle soothing warmth during the treatment.

Our Companion laser features software that is specifically designed to treat a variety of conditions. By entering information such as type of pet (dog or cat), weight range, hair length and color, the software is able to determine the amount of energy recommended for your pet’s treatment. Once your pet’s specific information is entered, we choose from the software’s pre-programmed settings for common conditions such as pain/trauma, arthritis, hot spots, anal gland inflammation, otitis (ear inflammation), wounds and others.
